about the client

ONE TUNNE makes stunt riding parts for Kukirin electric scooters: wheelie bars, steering dampers, crash protection, grips and lighting. The parts are 5 mm steel, laser-welded and powder-coated, with delivery included in the price.

The brand sells to Europe, the USA, Canada, the Middle East, Asia and South America. Most buyers come from TikTok and shop on their phones. The brand runs a collab with rider Kenzy: a wheelie bar with his name, shipped in a designer box.

02

task

The store ran on a stock theme. It did not reflect the brand and did not answer the buyer's main question: will this part fit my scooter? Kukirin has 7 models, and each part fits only some of them. Buyers had to ask on WhatsApp.

The brand needed its own theme, built on its design concept, that shows compatibility by itself, loads fast on mobile and lets the owner change content without a developer.

→A custom Online Store 2.0 theme built on the brand's design concept, no ready-made template
→Parts matched to the rider's scooter model on every page of the store
→Scooter model pages and a compatibility table
→Product page with colour choice, add-ons and delivery time by country
→Cart drawer and collection filters without page reloads
→Storefront in 5 languages: English, French, German, Italian, Spanish
→Judge.me reviews and order tracking styled to the theme
→Speed: green Core Web Vitals for mobile traffic from TikTok
→SEO and AEO: structured data, access for AI search engines

solution

We wrote the theme from scratch on Shopify's official Skeleton base: 48 sections, 35 blocks, 4 colour schemes. Every section and block is configurable in the Shopify editor, so the brand's team builds pages on its own. A script checked the design by comparing sizes, fonts and spacing on live pages with the mockups.

garage: fit by model

The buyer picks their scooter once, and every page shows which parts fit it. The compatibility table highlights their model. Each of the 7 Kukirin models has its own page with matching parts, which also works as a search landing page.

product page

Choosing a colour switches the photo and price without a reload. The add-ons block puts several parts in the cart at once. Delivery time is shown for the buyer's country, and stock warnings use real inventory only. On mobile the buy button stays within reach.

catalogue and cart

Filters by availability, price and colour apply instantly. Hovering a colour on a product card shows that variant's photo. The cart opens as a side drawer and updates without a page reload.

speed

No JS frameworks: all theme JavaScript is about 24 KB compressed. Self-hosted fonts, per-section CSS, no layout shifts. Result for real visitors: LCP 0.96 s, INP 94 ms, CLS 0.

5 languages

The store runs in English, French, German, Italian and Spanish. The theme code has no hard-coded strings: every text lives in translation files, and a separate script checks that no key is missing.

SEO and AEO

Structured data: Product with shipping and returns, ratings, FAQ, Article, breadcrumbs and part-to-model compatibility. robots.txt is open to ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude and Google AI.

process

day 1

design system and skeleton

Design tokens, 4 colour schemes, fonts, all store templates, header, footer, home, product, cart, collections and SEO. Every stage ended with automated checks.

week 1

data and model fitment

Scooter model metaobjects, compatibility and spec metafields, the garage, model pages and the compatibility table. Filled with real products.

weeks 2–3

refinement and launch

Instant filters, variant photos on cards, Judge.me reviews, order tracking, the Kenzy collab on the home page. Theme launch and speed tests on the live site.

Development ran with Claude Code AI agents under a developer's control. After each stage we automatically checked the theme code, translations, match with the mockups, accessibility and speed. The brand's team prepared product photos and copy; we wrote a guide to working with the theme in the editor.
