WayForPay for Shopify is a payment gateway on the Thank You Page with a 2% commission under the standard rate and individual rates for high turnover. The key feature of WayForPay is the "Pay in Installments" option from monobank (2–25 payments) and "Pay in Installments" from PrivatBank (2–12 payments). Connection to QR payment according to NBU standard No. 97 (0% commission, no PRRO) is available upon request as a separate service.

TradeMinister offers two ways to connect WayForPay to Shopify — this one, on the Thank You page (Manual Payment Method), and WayForPay for Shopify Checkout via the official Payment Apps API. They differ not only in price but in how they work, in the total cost of turnover and in how clean your financial reporting is. Choose based on your volume and how much pending orders matter to you.

The switching point is around ₴200,000 a month in turnover. Below that, the Thank You page option is the better deal: the one-time fee from ₴8,800 pays for itself in one to two months, the total cost is 2% (WayForPay only, with no Shopify third-party fee), and there is no monthly Shopify Payment Apps fee. At that volume, pending orders are easy to keep on top of manually or through Shopify Flow.
From ₴200,000 a month, and as international payments grow, the Shopify Checkout option starts to win: the order is created only after payment (no mismatch with your bank statement), you are fully compliant with Shopify rules (no AUP risk), and Shop Pay, Shopify Markets and Checkout UI Extensions are available without restrictions. Moving to the Shopify Advanced plan saves a further 1.4 percentage points per transaction.

the customer places an order
The customer adds products to the cart and places an order in the usual way in the Shopify store. When using the cash on delivery option, they select the delivery method "Nova Poshta cash on delivery" at the delivery step.
payment on the Thank You Page
After placing an order, the customer is directed to the Thank You Page. Options available include paying by card, Apple Pay / Google Pay, choosing installment payments (monobank Installments or PrivatBank Installments), or scanning a QR code to pay via IBAN. The customer selects the most convenient method.
status automatically changes to Paid
After successful payment, WayForPay sends a service-URL callback to Shopify — the order status is immediately updated to Paid. When paying in installments, the seller receives the full amount immediately. When paying by QR code, the system reconciles statements from monobank and PrivatBank every 10 minutes. In the KeyCRM option, the prepayment amount and the remaining balance are transmitted to the CRM as two separate financial records.

Standard rate — 2% per successful transaction, with no subscription fee and no connection fee. Individual rates are available as turnover grows — to be agreed with the WayForPay manager. There are no additional transaction fees from TradeMinister or Shopify.
The buyer on the Thank You Page selects "installment payment" and the bank: monobank (from 2 to 25 payments) or PrivatBank (from 2 to 12 payments). The bank reviews the application in real time and approves the installment plan. The seller receives the full amount in their account immediately, just like with a regular payment. The buyer pays the bank the installment interest monthly — for the seller, it’s like a regular sale. WayForPay’s transaction fee is the standard 2% (or an individual rate).
Current account for an individual entrepreneur or LLC in any Ukrainian bank and an account on WayForPay (registration is free at wayforpay.com). After registration and verification, WayForPay provides a merchant ID, secret key, and API access. An active Shopify store of any plan is also required.
The order is created immediately after checkout, before payment. Payment takes place on the Thank You Page. This is the standard procedure for Ukrainian payment gateways. After successful payment (including installment payments), the order status is automatically changed to Paid via a service-URL callback from WayForPay.
Yes. WayForPay supports payment via Apple Pay and Google Pay by default on all devices. The buyer does not need to enter card details — just confirm the payment on their device. The commission for Apple Pay and Google Pay is standard (2% or individual).
From 1 to 3 business days from the moment of payment, depending on the chosen option. Includes in-store installation, WayForPay Merchant API setup, activation of installment payments, testing on a real order, and instructions.
