LiqPay for Shopify is a payment gateway from PrivatBank on the Thank You Page with a commission of 2.75% at the standard rate (an individual rate from 1.5% is possible with a turnover of 500,000 ₴/month or more). how it works
the customer places an order
The customer adds products to the cart and places an order in the usual way in the Shopify store. When using the cash on delivery option, they select the delivery method "Nova Poshta cash on delivery" at the delivery step.
payment on the Thank You Page
After placing an order, the customer is taken to the Thank You Page, where the payment section is displayed. Two options are available: a "Pay by Card" button (redirecting to a secure LiqPay page or payment via an embedded widget) and a QR code for payment to an IBAN. The customer chooses the most convenient method.
status automatically changes to Paid
After successful card payment, LiqPay sends a server-to-server callback to Shopify, and the order status is immediately updated to Paid. When paying with a QR code, the system checks monobank and PrivatBank statements every 10 minutes and automatically marks the order as paid. In the KeyCRM option, the prepayment amount and the remaining balance are sent to the CRM as two separate financial records.

Standard rate — 2.75% per successful transaction, with no subscription fee and no connection fee. For turnover from 500,000 ₴/month, individual rates from 1.5% are available — negotiated directly with the LiqPay manager. There are no additional transaction fees from TradeMinister or Shopify.
Current account of an individual entrepreneur or LLC in any Ukrainian bank (not necessarily PrivatBank) and an account in LiqPay (registration is free at liqpay.ua). After registering with LiqPay, you receive public and private API keys — these are sufficient for integration. An active Shopify store of any plan is also required.
The order is created immediately after checkout, before payment. Payment takes place on the Thank You Page. This is the standard procedure for Ukrainian payment gateways at the Thank You Page level. After successful payment, the order status is automatically changed to Paid via a server-to-server callback from LiqPay.
Yes. LiqPay supports payment via Apple Pay and Google Pay by default on all devices. For PrivatBank customers, Privat24 is additionally available — payment directly through the bank client without entering card details, with instant crediting to the seller. The visual design on the payment page automatically adapts to the buyer's device.
From 1 to 3 business days after payment, depending on the chosen option. Includes in-store installation, LiqPay API setup, testing with a real order, and instructions. For the KeyCRM option, an additional 1–2 days are required for CRM integration setup.
Card payment refunds are processed through the LiqPay account (my.liqpay.ua) or automatically via the LiqPay API (refund method). Funds are returned to the buyer's card within the standard timeframe (up to 10 banking days). QR payment refunds (transfer to IBAN) are done through internet banking as a regular transfer to the buyer's account. The order status in Shopify is marked as Refunded manually or through Shopify Flow.
LiqPay supports the "Payment in Installments" option from PrivatBank — from 2 to 25 equal monthly payments. The minimum purchase amount is 300 ₴. Approval is done automatically at checkout (on the Thank You Page) for PrivatBank customers with a pre-approved credit limit — no paperwork required. The seller receives the full purchase amount in their account immediately (minus the LiqPay commission), and the client pays interest to the bank monthly. For the seller, this looks like a regular payment — the risk of non-payment is borne by PrivatBank. Activation is done in the LiqPay dashboard upon request — moderation takes 1–3 business days.
