To get started, you need to:
- Contact WesternBid and obtain a Merchant account and Secret key (you need to register on the website westernbid.com and send a request to shop@westernbid.info indicating your Western Bid login and your store address).
- Install in your Shopify store a app to connect to the payment gateway
- Install the WesternBid Payment Gateway payment gateway in your Shopify store
- Perform a test payment
Connection description:
- Upon your request, it is checked whether the store meets WesternBid requirements. After passing the check, you will receive a Merchant account and Secret key.
- To configure the WesternBid Payment Gateway app, you need to fill in the Shopify payment field (you need to create a password for encrypting transmitted data), as well as the Merchant Account and Secret Key received from WesternBid.
- Install the WesternBid Payment Gateway from the app (see point 2 in the Install gateway section). Go to the Shopify store admin panel, to Settings — Payment providers, in the Alternative payments section select the installed gateway PayPal Payments. The gateway will only be available if the country Belarus or Ukraine is set in the Shopify store settings (Settings — General). Specify your store address (without .myshopify.com) and the password you created in step 2 Shopify payment in the connection settings.
- Add a phone number in the Shopify store admin panel
Admin -> Settings -> Checkout -> Form options -> Shipping address phone number — required - Perform a test payment via PayPal using a PayPal test account (email: sb-vpluq480948@personal.example.com, password: o0g1*V&S)
- Obtain the data of this test (real) transaction. Go to the Shopify store admin panel to the
Orders section, open the required order and in the More actions menu select — Transaction data.
Send the received data to shop@westernbid.info for the test, then for the real purchase.
