How it works
The measurer — an employee of the company or store — scans the shoe model's article number, then inserts a device resembling a mechanical foot inside it. Its parts begin to expand in the necessary directions, measuring length, width, foot volume, instep height, insole softness, and more. Some parameters, such as the presence of laces, are entered manually by the measurer. After completing the measurements, they press a button on their smartphone, and the data is sent to the cloud, where it is processed and stored in a database. Online stores integrate a "Check Size" widget on their websites. When a customer selects a model, they enter data: gender, size, foot type — regular, wide, or narrow. The system calculates the length and circumference of the foot and suggests suitable models. If desired, the person can measure length and circumference themselves and provide additional details.
