LiqPay by PrivatBank connects to Shopify as a native payment method inside checkout, through the official Shopify Payment Apps API. The key difference from other gateways: the customer can pay through Privat24 without typing in card details, right at the payment step. Setup is ₴17,625 one-time, LiqPay acquiring is 2.75% on the standard plan, and above ₴500,000 a month in turnover the bank will consider an individual rate from 1.5%.
Why Privat24 specifically matters
PrivatBank is Ukraine’s largest retail bank, and for a large share of shoppers a Privat card is the main payment instrument. Paying through Privat24 is confirmed inside the app — no manually typing 16 digits, a CVV and a 3-D Secure code. On mobile, that measurably reduces abandoned payments.
What paying looks like
- The customer goes through the standard Shopify Checkout: contact details, delivery, payment.
- At the payment step they choose LiqPay and a method: Visa/Mastercard, Apple Pay, Google Pay or Privat24.
- The order is created once the payment is confirmed, already marked Paid.

All in, that comes to roughly 4.1%–5.5% of turnover depending on the Shopify plan. If the acquiring rate matters to you, negotiate an individual rate with the bank before you connect: on a million hryvnia of turnover, the difference between 2.75% and 1.5% is ₴12,500 every month.
